Petition
This petition is in support of a recent application of local resident Mr Thiele to set up a BBQ food stall to face Kingston Market Square.
We the undersigned wish to support him in his application to offer a variety of continental barbecue food from stall number 17 which faces the market square and that access to water and drainage can if not connected by the council be installed by him at his own cost.
We feel that Mr Thiele deserves a chance to finally be able to trade in Kingston and that stall number 17 should be made available to him.
Background information
-A proposal and pictures are provided through 2 links on top right of this page-
Please support me with my northern continental grill business. I have waited to get in to Kingston Market for 15 months and been disregarded for 3 individual stalls.
Stall number 17 has been empty for a quarter of a year and I desperately need it so that I can work full time with what I put much time and money into. Kingston Councils Street scene department and Town management team Kingston First claim to have a policy in place which refuses the sale of hot food facing the market square. Apparently existing traders are offered a second stall before new traders who have been on the list are considered. This in my opinion is unfair and not democratic. I applied in May 2011 to set up shop in a stall.
I am asking to get access to manageable circumstances and I have resided locally for 4 years. I can provide a high quality addition to the existing variety of affordable lunch offerings in Kingston. It is a very modest start up business which I plan to expand and I would be very grateful if you helped me make this possible.
Background:
In July 2011 I launched a continental barbecue business. I hold a 5 star food hygiene certificate. My menu consists of northern continental cuisine, in particular (cheese filled) gourmet sausage, herb infused pork steaks, breaded escalope with cream mushroom sauce, freshly made juices from energy boosting local produce besides coffee and desserts.
The idea is to create a little continental Bistro environment where anyone can grab an exciting taste sensation from a variety of things. Customers are welcome to take a seat and relax at lunch for a few minutes.
I started as a mobile trader in Westminster and realised that to maintain a high level of service and of hygiene it is necessary:
a) to have as little set up time as possible every day so that one can focus on cooking and selling
b) to have facilities for storage as well as water and electricity in immediate range
c) to live close to be able to receive deliveries spontaneously
A big thank you to all supporters of this petition.
